Votronic DC-DC chargers ensure optimal and fast charging of a vehicle’s supply battery by the alternator when the engine is on. In contrast to simple relays, the charging voltage is constantly adjusted to whatever is needed for efficient battery charging. With a constant output of up to 70 Amps, a leisure battery is charged at a higher current rate and so achieves full charge more quickly and much more efficiently.

As with all Votronic’s 230V battery chargers, an intelligent, microprocessor charging control ensures automatic, quick and gentle charging, always ensuring that the batteries will never be over or under-charged.

An additional feature is trickle charging of the starter battery, once the leisure battery is fully charged and a charge is coming from mains or a solar panel.

All Votronic chargers are made from the highest quality components and designed for heavy usage. They can be used with both regular and smart alternators. LEDs give an indication of the unit’s operating state. A temperature sensor is supplied as standard and a remote control and remote indicator are both available as optional extras.

This model VCC 1212-70 is designed for installations where the leisure battery has a capacity of 100Ah-460Ah. It’s suitable for use with both lithium and all kinds of lead-acid batteries, including wet, gel and AGM.
